Mgr. Jakub Klodwig
Jakub has graduated from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law, where he currently works as an external doctoral student at the Institute of Law and Technology;
During his studies, Jakub worked as a Paralegal in one of the largest Czech law offices, where he focused mainly on ICT law and the implementation of GDPR. Prior to completing his master’s degree, he was also part of a working group on the CRP-GDPR research project, the output of which was the Methodology of Applying GDPR to Research Data in the Environment of Universities in the Czech Republic. In 2020, Jakub participated in a research internship at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzlyia in Israel as part of a scholarship program;
Jakub first worked in MT Legal as a legal assistant and from July 2019 as a trainee lawyer. He is also currently working on a research project of the Center of Excellence for Cybercrime, Cybersecurity and Critical Information Infrastructure Protection. In his free time, Jakub teaches and publishes. Jakub presented his papers, for example, at the Academy of Sciences or the international conferences MyData and Cyberspace. Among his most important publications is the Practical Commentary on the Personal Data Processing Act, which Jakub published together with the PwC team;
In MT Legal office, Jakub deals with ICT focused on cyber security, protection of personal data and freedom of information;
Jakub speaks English well and understands German.
